UEFA technical observers have recognised their beauty and value with both topping the list of the 10 best goals of this campaign. In first place is the Portuguese striker, who turned home a spectacular shot in the visit to Juventus in the quarter-final. UEFA defines this goal as an excellent example of technique and skill.

Yeri Mina rules out Barcelona departure

Yeri Mina rules out Barcelona departure
Barcelona defender Yerry Mina has insisted that he is not considering a move away from the club and wants to demonstrate that he's good enough.
The Colombian international joined the Blaugrana in January from Brazilian side Palmeiras, allowing the club to replace the departed Javier Mascherano, who joined Chinese side Hebei China Fortune.

However, the youngster has featured in just six games in the 2017-18 season, but could have an opportunity to make an impact next season if the rumours about Samuel Umtiti's departure are true

Zidane, the first coach to ever win three consecutive European Cups

He also equals the record of Paisley and Ancelotti for number of titles won as coach.
After the final in Kiev, Zinedine Zidane is now a coaching legend in the history of the European Cup. With the victory against Liverpool, the Frenchman became the first coach to win the continental competition three times in a row. Real Madrid’s Champions League record under Zidane is spectacular, having won the nine knockout matches played and claiming the title in the three finals disputed.

Real Madrid assured Ronaldo last month of new pay-rise

Real Madrid assured Ronaldo last month of new pay-rise
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo had been assured of a pay-rise last month, it has been revealed.
AS says in April, the LaLiga giants informed him of their intention to improve his contract and, in the process, fulfil the promise of a pay rise made by the club's president, Florentino Pérez, after the 2017 Champions League final.
The 33-year-old had previously gone as far as to tell several of his team-mates that he would not be at Real next season, but after that initial contact between Los Blancos' general manager, José Ángel Sánchez, and the footballer's agent, Jorge Mendes, it seemed he had abandoned any thoughts of departing the Bernabéu.
His advisers let it be known that he felt positive about the moves made by the club over his contract. The plan was for talks to resume once Real's Champions League campaign was over.
Ronaldo's post-match words on Saturday, therefore, were unexpected and offered renewed evidence of the tensions that have existed between the player and the club's hierarchy.

Klopp backs Karius after Kiev nightmare

Klopp backs Karius after Kiev nightmare
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists goalkeeper Loris Karius will deal with his calamitous night in the 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
The German goalkeeper was at fault for Real’s opener, rolling the ball out with Karim Benzema standing too close to him and allowing the France international to divert it into the net, and he then let Gareth Bale’s long-range drive slip through his grasp.
In between those there was an equaliser for Sadio Mane before Bale put Madrid ahead again with a brilliant overhead kick.

Real Madrid news: Gareth Bale's future to be decided after Champions League final

Real Madrid news: Gareth Bale's future to be decided after Champions League final
Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham in September 2013
Even if Gareth Bale equals Phil Neal’s record for the British player with the most European Cup wins here on Saturday it will not stop the speculation over his future. In fact, it will probably intensify it.
A Real Madrid victory would give Bale his fourth Champions League winner’s medal in only five seasons at the Spanish club, putting him level with Neal, the former England right back who appeared in the first four of Liverpool’s five triumphs in 1977, 78, 81 and 84.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos aims sly dig at Mohamed Salah over Cristiano Ronaldo
Sergio Ramos believes that Mo Salah cannot be compared to Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo
And the Real Madrid skipper, dismissed suggestions Liverpool’s record-breaking striker was at the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, insisting the La Liga superstars are “in another orbit”.
Ramos says 44-goal Salah has to prove he can continue this season’s remarkable scoring exploits for years to come before he is talked about in the same bracket as Real team-mate Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Messi.
Comparing players with Ronaldo and Messi is something you can’t do,” said Ramos.!

Jokanovic admits ‘ambitious’ recruitment is needed
Slavisa Jokanovic recognises Fulham will have to invest in their team to ensure survival after winning promotion to the Premier League.
A 1-0 victory over Aston Villa in the Championship play-off final secured their return to the English top flight after an absence of four years.
The consistently entertaining football they have played since the Serbian’s appointment in 2015 has attracted many admirers and was again on display at Wembley, particularly when Ryan Sessegnon created Tom Cairney’s first-half goal, but at a higher level it could yet leave them vulnerable.

“We have not had injuries today and we are ready for the final in Kiev, which is the best part of the season”, he quipped.
Zinedine Zidane spoke to the press at the Estadio de la Cerámica after Real Madrid's final LaLiga game of the season: "We were good in the first half but in the second period we managed the game with the final in mind. When that happens, the opposition can make life hard for you. The LaLiga season didn't start well for us but we have finished strongly. We have the biggest game to come and we're going to enjoy that".

Juventus 2 - 1 Hellas Verona: Buffon makes emotional farewell as Juventus sign off with win
Gianluigi Buffon bade an emotional farewell to Juventus as the veteran goalkeeper marked his 640th and last Serie A appearance with another victory.
Buffon, who announced on Thursday he would be ending his 17-year spell with the Turin giants, helped the champions finish the season with a 2-1 win over relegated Hellas Verona.
Juventus had already wrapped up a seventh straight title, so this game was an opportunity to pay tribute to their departing captain.

Villarreal 2 - 2 Real Madrid: Real Madrid held by Villarreal after losing two-goal lead
Real Madrid blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Villarreal in their final LaLiga match ahead of the Champions League final against Liverpool.
Real coach Zinedine Zidane handed a debut to his 20-year-old son Luca as first-choice goalkeeper Keylor Navas was rested ahead of the European clash in Kiev on May 26, but otherwise named a strong side.
Gareth Bale, deployed in a more central role, broke the deadlock after 11 minutes to score for the fourth LaLiga match in a row, with Cristiano Ronaldo adding a second just after the half-hour to put the visitors in control.

Antonio Conte defends himself and his position after winning FA Cup

Antonio Conte says he is a “serial winner” who “can’t change” as he challenged Chelsea to back him or sack him after Saturday’s FA Cup success.
Speculation has been rife all season that Conte will be axed as head coach this summer.
The Italian won the Premier League 12 months ago in his first campaign, only for the Blues to finish fifth this term, missing out on Champions League qualification.
A second trophy came at Wembley in what could be Conte’s final match as boss, as Eden Hazard’s penalty earned a 1-0 win over Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

Manchester United 0 - 1 Chelsea FC: Blue is the colour at Wembley as Chelsea win the FA Cup
Eden Hazard fired Chelsea to FA Cup glory against Manchester United as Antonio Conte’s expected farewell ended with a memorable triumph against old foe Jose Mourinho.
The 137th FA Cup final – and first utilising a video assistant referee – was not as cagey as some had feared but was hardly a rip-roaring affair as the Blues looked to atone for last season’s shock finale defeat and a tepid Premier League title defence.
Mourinho came into the match looking to frustrate his former club and write his name into the record books, but Conte – subject of so much speculation regarding his future – emerged triumphant as Hazard’s first-half penalty secured a 1-0 win at Wembley.
Many had fancied United to win a record-equalling 13th FA Cup on Saturday, but the Blues showed a spirit and skill level that has been lacking at times this season.

Barcelona 'need to sell EIGHT players' before signing Antoine Griezmann
Antoine Griezmann's wage demands are causing Barcelona problems
BARCELONA need to shift eight players if they are to sign Antoine Griezmann this summer, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
The Catalan giants have been the front-runners in the race to sign the Atletico Madrid forward all season.
And Barcelona chiefs have admitted meeting Griezmann's representatives in recent months to discuss the €100m (£87m) transfer this summer.
However, according to Balague, the La Liga champions must first ensure they cut their wage bill by a significant amount.

Gianluigi Buffon to the Premier League: Would City, Liverpool, Chelsea sign him?
Gianluigi Buffon is reported to be heading to the Premier League next season, after he revealed he would be leaving Juventus this summer. The 40-year-old is still an incredible goalkeeper -- and has been offered a two-year deal at PSG -- but is he too old to make an impact in England?
We asked our correspondents for the three clubs who have been mainly linked with him: Would you take Buffon?
MAN CITY: No. He wouldn't want to be a backup
Manchester City's first-choice goalkeeper would seem pretty clear after the club rewarded Ederson with a seven-year contract this week after his impressive first season. The position of back-up though is less clear.

Real Madrid are really interested in Alaba - agent
Real Madrid are interested in signing David Alaba from Bayern Munich, according to the player's father and agent.
Alaba has spent his whole career at Bayern, barring a loan spell at Hoffenheim, winning seven Bundesliga titles at the club.
The versatile Austria international has long been linked with Madrid, suggesting in a March interview he could be ready for a "new challenge".

I'm not selfish enough to win the Ballon d'Or, says Hazard
Chelsea star Eden Hazard does not believe he is selfish enough to win the Ballon d'Or.
The Belgium international has made the Ballon d'Or shortlist in three of the past four years but, despite winning the PFA Players' Player of the Year in 2014-15, he has never finished higher than eighth in the voting.
And Hazard, who scored 12 goals and laid on four assists in the Premier League this season, believes his personality and style of play would not allow him to take world football's top prize or even a Golden Boot.

Bayern Munich have tabled a €60 million bid for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, according to sources familiar with the negotiations.
Leverkusen, however, are holding out for a fee closer to €100m and would much prefer to sell the 20-year-old to Real Madrid, who have also expressed a strong interest in him.
The Champions League finalists have instructed Portuguese agent Jose Mendes to explore the possibility of luring the Jamaican-born attacking midfielder to the Bernabeu.

The Championship side were the better team at the Tony Macaroni Arena but went behind early on after Kris Doolan’s header.

Manchester United man Pogba, Tottenham goalkeeper and France captain Lloris, and Atletico Madrid's Europa League final hero Griezmann are expected to provide the backbone of Les Bleus' challenge in Russia.

Rafa Benitez to West Ham: Newcastle boss demands £100m transfer kitty plus full control

Rafa Benitez to West Ham: Newcastle boss demands £100m transfer kitty plus full control
Benitez wants to stay at Newcastle - but only if he’s satisfied the club can match his own ambitions
The Hammers have made Benitez their No 1 choice to replace David Moyes, while Russian giants Zenit St Petersberg have identified the 58-year-old as Roberto Mancini’s successor.
Both would be willing to meet the £6m buy-out clause in his contract, with the Hammers ready to make a formal approach given any encouragement from Benitez’ people.
Benitez wants to stay at Newcastle - but only if he’s satisfied the club can match his own ambitions.
And Newcastle so far have yet to convince him the two parties share the same goals.
Benitez has just 12 months left on his current deal and wanted his future resolved before the end of the season.
His representatives have been in talks with managing director Lee Charnley, acting on behalf of Ashley for several weeks, but little progress has been made.
The former Liverpool manager wants cast-iron assurances that he can spend what cash he is given how he likes.
Rafa Benitez to West Ham: Newcastle boss demands £100m transfer kitty plus full control
The Hammers have made Benitez their No. 1 choice to replace David Moyes
Ashley has said that he wants Benitez to stay, but the pair have not held face-to-face talks and there is a lack of trust on Benitez’s side after three botched transfer windows.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid coach has never previously walked out on a contract and would be loath to do so now.
But he feels the ball is firmly in Newcastle’s court and if they don’t accept his terms, it will prove to him they don’t want him to be in charge in the long-term.

That came nine months after he guided the Foxes to the Premier League title in 2015-16, having been given odds as long as 5,000-1 by some bookmakers.

Liverpool next? Departing Juventus captain Buffon admits Premier League offers
Departing Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon cannot rule out a career swansong in the Premier League next season.
Buffon has been linked with Liverpool this week and fueled the speculation at his farewell media conference yesterday.
He declared: “A return to Parma is a romantic childhood dream, but nothing more than that, no. I feel great gratitude. I am grateful to feel the club so close to me, my former teammates and everyone.
"I am probably a bit dim, but I don't feel fear. Moderate fear, as is understandable when going into a change of lifestyle and habits, but little more than that.
