Rivaldo tells Neymar he should join Real Madrid
Former Barcelona forward Rivaldo has advised his fellow Brazilian Neymar to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid, in an interview published by German daily Bild on Wednesday.
Rivaldo said that if Neymar wants to win the Ballon d'Or, awarded by governing body FIFA to the world's best player, "he should play for one of the biggest clubs in the world."
Rivaldo added: "At Paris Saint-Germain, with new coach Thomas Tuchel in charge, he will never be declared the best player in the world."
The 46-year-old Brazilian, who played in Spain for Barcelona from 1997 until 2002, said Neymar switching to Real Madrid would be an "important change".
Spanish state television channel TVE reported on Monday that Real Madrid had made a 310-million-euro (360-million-dollar) bid for Neymar.
But Real Madrid issued a statement denying the story. The 26-year-old Brazilian has scored two goals so far in Russia and will play against Belgium in Kazan on Friday.

England recovered manfully from the gut punch of seeing Harry Kane’s spot-kick cancelled out in stoppage-time by Yerry Mina, which took the match to extra-time and eventually penalties with the score remaining 1-1.

Colombia 1 England 1 (aet, 4-3 on penalties): Dier seals shoot-out glory for Three Lions

Jordan Pickford saved brilliantly from Carlos Bacca and Eric Dier stepped up to send England into the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
Eric Dier scored the decisive spot-kick as England won a World Cup penalty shoot-out for the first time, edging past Colombia 4-3 to set up a quarter-final against Sweden.
Harry Kane's sixth goal of the World Cup appeared enough to secure England's first knockout win at a major tournament in 12 years, the Three Lions captain scoring from the spot after he was fouled by Carlos Sanchez.
But Colombia took the last-16 tie into extra-time with a dramatic equaliser in the 93rd minute in Moscow on Tuesday, Yerry Mina climbing highest in the box to score a head in Juan Cuadrado's corner.

Emil Forsberg’s deflected strike saw Sweden snatch a place in the World Cup quarter-finals with a narrow 1-0 win over Switzerland.
Forsberg struck after 66 minutes of a tight contest in St Petersburg when his shot from the edge of the area was diverted in by Manuel Akanji.
Switzerland pushed for an equaliser in the latter stages but neither Breel Embolo nor Haris Seferovic could find the net with late headers.
The Swiss finished the game with 10 men after Michael Lang was sent off for pulling down Martin Olsson as he raced through on goal.

Neymar takes centre stage as Brazil move in to last eight
Brazil booked a World Cup quarter-final place as Neymar turned on the style and Mexico waved goodbye to Russia.
The boiling heat of Samara – it was around 35 degrees Celsius at kick-off – was no place for the faint-hearted and Mexico hinted at an upset for much of an even first half.
But Neymar claimed his 57th international goal six minutes in to the second period, before setting up substitute Roberto Firmino late on to complete Brazil’s 2-0 win.
